AGENT SILENT - INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

The Preparation Work:

Download the agent to the machine or IT downloads the installer to a central point for Software distribution. Download website: https://tools-pos-na1.fourth.com/agent_download. Both 32 bit and 64 bit versions are available.

Steps:

  1. Uninstall the currently installed Agent.
  2. Install the new Agent.

Silent Agent Uninstall:
Change to the C:\BodhiAgent directory and run unins000.exe /VERYSILENT

Silent Agent Install:
<Setup Executable> /VERYSILENT Example: BodhiAgentSetup-x64.exe /VERYSILENT

It is recommended to use 'Start /wait' to ensure the installation can be monitored to completion.

Fourth POS Integration Agent Silent Install and Auto-registration Instructions

The Preparation Work:

  • Receive Auto-Registration Code, Company External ID, Store External ID, and Concept External ID from Fourth
  • Whitelisting required:
    • https://agent-pos-na1.fourth.com
    • https://tools-pos-na1.fourth.com
  • Websites used for setup:
    • https://tools-pos-na1.fourth.com/agent_download
    • 32bit and 64bit versions available
  • Download the agent installer to the machine or IT downloads the installer to a central point for Software distribution

The Process:

Create installation script

Parameters for the command line execution of the Agent Installer:

/VERYSILENT /register=true /namespace=<company external ID> /code=<auto-reg code provided> /store=<store external ID> /concept=<concept external ID>

Example:

BodhiAgentSetup-1.0.6-x64.exe /VERYSILENT /register=true /namespace=123456789 /code=WWWW- LLLL-EEEE-MMMM /store=12368 /concept=123456

Using installation script

User executes the installer Agent installs and uses the provided information to bind to the namespace and the store

Agent Auto Uninstall parameters: /VERYSILENT

From BodhiAgent folder run the unins000.exe with /VERYSILENT

This method of uninstall will re-use the current registration. If a new registration code is needed, then the uninstall must be done manually and the user must choose to not keep the registration file.

To perform the auto-registration on the same machine, you much also remove the .agent file from C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\.agent
